The Fifth Chakra or throat area externalizes as the thyroid gland, and governs the lungs, vocal cords, bronchial apparatus, and metabolism. The center of expression, communication and judgment. It is seen as the color blue.
This is the chakra located in the throat and is thus related to communication and creativity. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language.
Physical
Qualities: Controls the area from the mid-point of the nose down to
the collarbones. Manages the function of the larynx, thyroid, and hearing.
Spiritual Qualities: Represents the intellectual body, the ability
of a person to express him/herself. The power of understanding.
Detachment. Clarity.
