BELIEFS OF THE NEW AGE

Because the New Age movement is so vast and embraces such a variety of

cultures, perspectives and beliefs, it is very difficult to set forth a statement of beliefs

that apply equally to all.

None-the-less the following Beliefs of the New Age Community Church are offered.  The are the Articles of The New Age Community Church of Phoenix, Arizona.  This statement was channeled October  6, 1984, and is not to be construed as a dogma or binding  doctrine, but simply as  a broad outline of some of the attitudes of the majority of  New Agers.

1. We believe in God as the one eternal reality.

2. We reverence the Earth, that great matriarch, who is the source of all life.

3. We believe in Masters, Avatars and Gurus who can guide the lives of individuals.

4. We believe in other dimensions, one of whichis the astral plane, or the spirit world, and we believe that we dwell there just as we dwell on the physical plane.

5. We believe The Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, the Quran, and other scriptures are divinely inspired and, when correctly understood in the context of their revelation, and translated correctly, can be said to be The Word of God.

6. We believe the world is entering a New Age of consciousness, the Age of Aquarius, and we believe that the concept of a war between Good and Evil belongs to the old, Piscean Age.

7.   We believe the greatest threat to humanity today is government and its attempts to rule human thought and activity, and that those people who fail to control their government will  be controlled by it.

8.   We believe that it is the divine right of each individual to follow the dictates of his or her conscience, and that no one has the right to force other to his will.

9.   We believe that there are many things as yet unknown or unexplained, but that humanity is continually growing in awareness.
