Who am I? What’s my purpose?

Learn the truth or continue to struggle in a world of confusion

Who am I? Where did I come from? What am I supposed to be doing? Where am I going?

These questions cannot be answered until we address the question:

What is the purpose of life?

When we learn the answer to this question, we then know the reason Why is this happening to me?

And we can begin to learn how to take control of our lives.

come on out and get some answers

The New Age Community Church was founded February 27. 1972. in Phoenix, Arizona, as an outgrowth of a metaphysical study group called The Omega Group.
The church is supervised by a board of directors, who are ordained ministers in the church
At one time or another the church has had five separate congregations, operated three bookstores, a website, and published the oldest metaphysical newspaper in America, The Omega Directory.

HISTORY
____________________________________________________________________

The organzation was originally called the The Omega Group when it met for the fist time in 1970 at 7th Avenue and Latham. The property was condemned to make way for a new freeway, so the group moved to 6418 S. 39th Avenue, where they remain.
At this time, to gain more interest, they published a sheet which listed all the metapysical churches and study groups that they could locate, including the Omega Group. The flyer was well received and came to be known as The Omega Spiritual Directory, New Age Directory and finally the Omega Directory,
About this time the church acquired ownership of part of a used bookstore, which they moved to a separate location and named The Alpha Book Center. Over the years two branches of the store were opened, and then closed after a five or ten years.
A website, aznewage.com, was opened in the early 90's.

BELIEFS
_____________________________________________________________________

The Church believes that all religions are man-made and not god-made. They believe that the general teachings of Christianty cause more problems than they cure. They teach that Christianity, while usually staffed by well-meaning individuals, its based on error and myth.
Following, done in the 80s, is a brief attempt to mention some of the churches ideas:

1: We believe in Mother?Father God as the one eternal reality.
2: We reverence the Earth, that great Matriarch who is the source of all life.
3: We believe in Masters, Avatars, and gurus who can guide the lives of individuals and the destiny of the world.
4: We believe in another dimension, the astral plane or the spirit world, and that we dwell there just as we dwell on the physical plane.
5: We believe the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, and other scriptures are divinely inspired and, when understood in the context of their revelation and translated correctly, can be said to the "The Word of God."
6: We believe the world is entering a new age of consciousness, the Age of Aquarius, adn the concept of a war between Good and Evil belongs to the old, Piscean Age.
7: We believe that the greatest threat to humanity today is government and its attempts to rule hman thought and activity, and those people who fail to control their government will be controlled by it.
8: We believe that it is the divine right of each individual to follow the dictates of his or her conscience, but no one has the right to force others to his will.
9: We believe that there are many things as yet unknown or unexplained, but humanity is continually growing in awareness.
