For centuries candles have been at the heart of magic spells and rituals.

         Candle burning rituals can be used for love, prosperity, protection and any number of other purposes. These rituals don’t take up much of your time, because you do not have be there once the candle has begun to burn.

         Candle burning magic is perhaps the simplest form of magic one can do.  It is simple because the ritual is simple and only the candles, oil and incense are required.  Candle magic is used for prosperity, protection, matters of the heart, and many other problems.

         “Is there anything more appropriate for the Yule season than candle burning?” asks Dr. Rodgers

           In this class he will explain the history of burning candles, the principles that make candle magick work, and how to prepare and dress a candle properly.

Dowsing with  the pendulum class

A pendulum is small weight suspended on a cord, used in healing, energy balancing, detecting imbalances in energy fields, finding missing objects and hundreds of other uses. This process is known as dowsing.

Dowsing, with a pendulum or a rod, to obtain information, is the oldest scientific system known to man. Any one can learn how to do it.

For many years Alex Pierson taught pendulum dowsing at Alpha Book Center. Since his death there has been a vacuum in teaching dowsing.

Students should bring their own pendulums. If they do not have one, they will be available. There will be study sheets, but students may want to bring pen and paper.

Death & After

The nature of death and what happens to us after we die.

         Does it hurt? Will I see my dead relations? Will I see Jesus? What about the “white light”? Is there a judgment? Do Paradise and Hell exist? What happens to Atheists and non-believers?

         These are just some of the many topics that will be covered.

         Dr. Rodgers has been a student of this subject for many decades. He has spoken to theologians and doctors. He has contacted people who have died.

         Death is just as natural as birth, says Dr. Rodgers. And it need not be any more painful.

Learn to read tarot cards in 60 minutes

The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards used in fortune telling. It is the original playing-card system.

         The divinatory meanings of the cards are traced by some occult writers to sources like ancient Egypt or the Kabbalah of Jewish mysticism, but documentary evidence of such meanings only goes back to the 18th century, though the cards themselves can be traced back to the 15th century

           Often called the "Godfather" of metaphysics in Arizona, Rev. Dr. John Rodgers has perhaps the broadest knowledge of metaphysics of any teacher in the Valley.

         He has studied and taught metaphysics for nearly half a century. He is considered an authority on almost everything metaphysical.

          “I cannot give your every interpretation of every card or tell you every possible way to read the tarot deck, but I will show you how to interpret the cards for yourself,” says Dr. Rodgers

        He notes, Hitler's Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, once said, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

        Eventually even the tellers of the story come to believe in it themselves.

           For 30 years Dr. Rodgers has been writing books, articles and columns about Fundamentalist religion, exposing it's "soft underbelly" of self-delusion.

        With the exception of the major televangelists, Christians sincerely believe the myths they propagate. But sincerity alone does not make something true or factual. The myth has been repeated for so many years, no one bothers to examine it closely any more. It is just accepted because everyone else accepts it.

Kundalini and the Chakras

The aura is the energy field emanating from a person or object. This emanation (also called the astral body) is visualized as an outline of cascading color and is the soul, the chakras and the kundalini, and their surrounding energy fields. Layers of aura are separate and distinct yet connected to all the remaining layers.

         Auras may be seen with the naked eye. Training may improve ones ability to see them. Auras can even be "felt" with the hand. All it takes is practice.

         The aura is associated with the scientifically-proven electromagnetic fields around everything. These energy fields are sometimes claimed to be documented by Kirlian photography, or similar systems.

           The aura can show signs of a disease before it appears in the physical body. The aura indicates the general and specific state of health of the individual. It can also show where blockages, physical or emotional are based.

          The aura also indicates the level of spiritual development an individual has attained.
