| The astral world, or the astral
plane, is the world of the soul. It is where we exist consciously
when we are not conscious on the physical plane.
The Bible refers to it as Sheol or Hades (the place of the dead), also Prison and the Bosom of Abraham. Pagans call it Summerland. , THe Greeks called it the Elyeisan FIelds and the Autrailian Aboriginies called it Dream TIme. The New Testament says it is deivided into twor parts, paradise and prison. Vo0ltair, speaking from the Astral World, says it ws divided into four levels. Hebrow tradition says it is divided into five parts. Theosophy refers to the Karma World, wwhich they say is the second lowest of the seven worlds. Immediately after death man is fully conscious in the Astral world where he functions for timeless durations. Some say the person possessing more refined thoughts will spend a relative longer duration in the astral world. The person possesses an astral body while residing in this astral world. Although the astral world, or plane, is primary thought of as an after-death abode, even during physical life some clairvoyants and ordinary people are aware of its presence and even function in it. This is usually during sleep, but the action of anesthetics or drugs, or accidents.
